Hello Hokies!

Here is an update for the week:

-Next alumni meeting will be at Fatz  at 619 S. Regional Road in Greensboro this coming Monday night on November 8th. The social half hour begins at 5:30 and the meeting begins at 6:00. The meeting lasts about an hour and there is no cost to attend. Come socialize, network and meet other Hokies in the Triad

-If you are looking to buy or sell game tickets, check out our website at www.nctriadhokies.com You can post there what your needs are in the forum section. You will need to sign up there on the website to become interactive, but that is simple to do. If you can’t figure that out, you can call my cell phone at 336-407-8413. I often hear of extra tickets floating around.

-For the upcoming UNC-G/VT basketball game in Greensboro, to all who ordered tickets they have been mailed to you as of this morning. Thank you all for your support. We had almost 100. If you did not order but decide later we will do our best to get you beside us. Mark Whitehouse saw Coach Greenberg going into a football game & he was very appreciative of you showing your support. –  Congratulations to Jill Heyman from our chapter who was named Outstanding Volunteer for all VT chapters throughout the world for this past year. Jill continues to work hard to bring new people into our chapter through various means and has helped organize various events including our Komen Race for the Cure and many social events. Way to go Jill!

–We had a great VT social at  Divine Llama Vineyards in East Bend on October 24th. We had 35-40 people attending including kids. Everyone seemed to enjoy the afternoon. Thanks to Jill Heyman for her coordination of the event.

– We will have a holiday social on December 9th at the Emerald Center in Greensboro. Please save the date. More details will follow.
